I met David when we had duties together at Leicester Samaritans. He was a lovely volunteer and a great shift partner. Always supportive. He was a listening volunteer at Leicester from 1998 to 2004. When he moved he stayed in contact and in 2013 became the fundraiser bid writer for Leicester. In the 11 years of fundraising David brought in just under £208,000 of funds to keep our Leicester branch running. I particularly wanted people to know about his contribution as he probably didn't tell anyone. I miss our little catch up chats. from Elizabeth
We are deeply indebted to David’s unfailing support over many many years - he will be deeply missed. We met up every year (with Ellie his much loved Spaniel) to discuss plans for our Samaritan work in schools. David was always ready with thoughts of raising the funds to turn ideas into practical solutions, always in a considered way. One of the kindest & thoughtful men I have ever met. from Jenny
David was a lovely, kind and caring volunteer in the Branch, who also supported our Branch in raising a huge amount of funds through his involvement with us over so many years. It was lovely to see David at our official opening of the refurbished branch last December. From Allan
